In this resource file:
A lesson on the French Phonetic Alphabet- L’Alphabet Phonétique.
A fun lesson to use with your GCSE classes when they need a bit of a break, while still doing something useful and practising pronunciation.
Or you could use it at the start of the GCSE course, if you intend to use phonemic symbols in your everyday lessons to help your students with their pronunciation.
Alternatively, this lesson could be used for Enrichment or after-school clubs for your GCSE or even your A- Level classes.
The lesson should take 1.5 to 2hrs to complete, but can easily be split over several sessions if needed.
It includes:
- a PPT presentation (48 slides including answer slides), which is split into 3 sections:
- Introduction to the Phonetic Alphabet (including practice for each aspect covered)- 16 slides
- Games/ Practice activities using the full Phonetic Alphabet- 9 slides
- a final Quiz-21 slides
- 2 worksheets + versions with answers
- audio files
(the first 8 files are previews of what is included in the .zip folder)
Once downloaded, save the .zip folder on your computer, then right-click on the folder and select “extract all”.
