GCSE Dance Duet/Trio performance booklet.

This 10 page booklet focuses on the performance skills required for the AQA performance in a duet/trio assessment. It also provides tasks for students to understand the choreographic process and skills whilst creating the duet/trio. This aims to benefit their approach in year 11 for the choreography unit. It focuses heavily on the 4 performance areas; Technical, Expressive, Mental and Physical and asks students to reflect on their demonstration of these skills.

The booklet is a great tool for quick tasks in the studio and goes hand in hand with my Power Point resource of the duet/trio. It would make a lovely accompaniment to your practical lessons without overloading the theory. It does draw theory links to help support section A-B in the written paper, but these are chunked appropriately.

I have found by using a handy booklet, the students have a more holistic understanding of how the performance can be reflected upon which for my cohort, made a noticeable difference in their reflective skills in theory classes. I would recommend printing as a smaller double-sided booklet.
