This is a walkthrough of GCSE AQA English Language Paper 1 (June 2017 - Rosabel paper). It includes references to the mark scheme and a wealth of examples which are annotated in terms of where they hit the mark scheme and then each exemplar has examiner comments alongside. There are accompanying worksheets for the students with all of the exemplars on. I have created this in the hopes that students will become more confident in knowing the difference between the levels of the mark scheme e.g. what the difference is between ‘some’ and ‘clear’.
By the end of the slides, students will have completed an entire language paper 1. I plan to then take this in to mark and give them feedback on how to improve. They will then have time to make these improvements in lesson. However, you can, of course, use these slides however you’d like to.
