GCSE Language Skills: Understanding the Author’s Purpose and Perspective

Identifying the key features of a text, its purpose, perspectives and language devices are key elements of critical language and understanding skills. I have taught this topic a number of times in the last twenty years and I have used this specific resource (revised in 2021) to lead my classroom teaching, as a distance learning material for SKYPE lessons, as a homework assignment and even as a tool of revision – all have worked well for the students.
