At GCSE it is essential that students are able to identify ‘text types’ (genre and its conventions). This dynamic 17 slide PowerPoint presentation explores the genre of ‘The Autobiography’ through a series of video footage clips accompanied with structured thinking and written tasks. I have used this resource in class to lead my teaching, as a homework and distance learning material and even as a tool of revision – all have worked well for the students.
