GOODBYE LENIN film project adapted to new GCSE 2018 FILMKRITIK FILM REVIEW

This contains a whole film project about "Goodbye Lenin" which I used for my year 10 groups over 2 weeks (7 lessons). We did it at the end of "Zeit fuer Freizeit" unit from the Stimmt 9-1 Higher textbook to expose pupils to an authentic German film full of culture. In the Power Point you have an outline of how I structured the lessons + activities from the booklet. I created also a booklet for pupils with all activities around the film.
Over the course of the lessons pupils will explore the historical East vs West Germany division, the concepts of Wende and Ostalgie and loads of activities on the film. The year 10s loved the whole project and motivation was high since they are a very clever group. At the same time they loved doing something which is usually required at A-level.
At the end of the PPT and the booklet you also find the questions for the speaking assessment and a writing assessment task in the new GCSE style! It worked so well!
