A fairly comprehensive look at Gothic literature. Several PowerPoints from a Gothic scheme I created put together - about 4 weeks teaching with a mid-high ability.
Extracts used from Dracula, Frankenstein, The Raven and several non-fiction articles centering on Jack the Ripper (especially useful as a bridge to the new GCSE curriculum). A high level of challenge for KS3 with plenty of tasks and information in the unit of work.
Analysis of Victorian texts (reading) and creative writing covered.
