Grave of Fireflies Movie Guide | Questions | Worksheet | Google Slide (NR - 1988) challenges students to connect with Seita and Setsuko’s tragic journey during the end of Japan’s involvement in WWII. Explore the relationship they have with each and with their aunt. Debate whether or not Seita does the best job he could have done and whether or not his aunt had a point about him being lazy. Define the term, moral dilemma, and identify the moral dilemma Seita was struggling with throughout the movie. Finally, discover a positive take-away from the movie despite it’s depressing ending.

**CCSS Note: I’ve taken the liberty of aligning certain reading standards with the act of consuming content via the movie instead. Although students are not reading they are asked to perform the same cognitive functions on the content that they consumed from the movie.
**Distance Learning Tips:
- Distribute the google slides version to each student
- Use the screen sharing tool on your group call software to play the movie
- Pause the movie at each question to give students time to write/discuss
