This resource will help you organise your students into different groups.

For example, students can be arranged into ‘Rainbow Groups’ (mixed ability) and ‘Colour Groups’ (similar ability) seamlessly, allowing you to provide effective differentiation, support and challenge.

Each student receives their unique card with a specific colour, shape, number and letter. The teacher assigns each student a card based on their ability.

For example, if an activity requires students to work in mixed ability groups the teacher would ask students to get into their Rainbow Groups. If a teacher wanted students to complete different tasks or receive different amounts of support/challenge, then working in Colour Groups would be effective.
