A valuable resource for your food preparation and nutrition lessons, this introductory task pack contains the following: document with suggestions for use and differentiation, a 13-page work book, word cards / reading cards – 15 to a page - all spices and herbs from the workbook mentioned on individual cards, picture cards – cue cards 15 to a page - all pictures from the workbook, a PowerPoint presentation which features a slide for lesson objectives, followed by all photos from the workbook on individual slides.
The tasks in this book include identifying and labelling, some research (internet or recipe books), making word puzzles as consolidation.
This workbook can be issued as a book or as separate sections on spices, herbs, liquids, curry, a research task and word puzzles. The numbering of tasks relates to each section.
The sections are ideal for homework or cover/substitution work.

Nice clear pictures of spices with a separate document with their names. Fairly uninspiring workbook, only on PDF so no way to amend for your own classes. Four whole pages of the workbook are taken up by crosswords and word searches that the students have to create themselves which is a waste of valuable lesson time. Low-level and no stretch, challenge or differentiation.
