Homework Mat- Lord of the Flies

A half term’s worth of tasks to accompany a Lord of the Flies module.
There are 7 tasks in total.
All the tasks are included on a mat that can be stuck in the students books at the beginning of the module- there is space left for students to add a due date for each.

Each activity then includes a slide that gives more information about the task set. I tend to use these as a plenary task before setting the homework so all students are clear on the task.

Each task also includes an extra ‘challenge’ task to help stretch and challenge the more able.

The ppt is fully editable so you can amend the tasks to suit your own groups.

I have used versions of this with high, middle and low ability students from years 9-11.

As a school we have found these help increase homework completion as both parents and students are clear about what will be set across the half term. Also enables students to catch up easily with homework tasks even if they have missed the lesson where it was set.
