This resource is a colourful and fun summary/cheat sheet covering the topic of Hormones and Glands at GCSE Biology. This was made to fit the Edexcel specification but would suit any exam board as it covers all important aspects of the topic.

This sheet covers the key definitions in this topic as well as the difference between neurones and hormones. There is an in depth coverage on the pituitary gland, pancreas, thyroid gland, adrenal glands, testes and ovaries. There is also a very in depth discussion on adrenaline and how it affects the body, alongside information on thyroxine and the two hormones TRH and TSH with a clear graph to back up the writing.

This sheet is made to be colourful, have a distinct layout that is easy to follow and fit all knowledge on this topic onto one sheet meaning that it will be engaging and helpful to student’s learning.

It can be used as a handout for students to revise, read aloud in class, or sections could be whited-out so that students must fill in the gaps. This can be a great resource for students to keep and refer back to or could be used as a small exercise at the start of class to recap on knowledge and keep it fresh!
