This brief power point walks students through the IELTS band descriptors highlighting key points to show students exactly what the examiners are looking for and therefore what they need to produce to get an IELTS band 7+ in IELTS writing task 2 (task 1 is very similar!).
This resource is useful to introduce, remind, or recap with students about what the criteria are for different grade bands. You will need to add flesh out the bullet points or perhaps mark their essays referring to the criteria shown to demonstrate more fully but this is a good starting point.
This is just a short powerpoint that I thought someone might find useful - no point reinventing the wheel!
