Wind turbines are a valuable source of renewable
energy and are non-polluting. A wind turbine
uses large blades to catch the wind, which
forces the blades to rotate. This rotation drives
the generator, which sits within the nacelle, and
converts the energy of the wind into electricity.

S1 pupil I work with made this as part of his Science alternative energy sources project. He was very pleased with himself and the model. It was easy to cut out and construct . For such a simple model it looks really good. He is looking forward to showing it when he does his talk.
