IB History - Vietnamization and US Withdrawal

A simple PowerPoint presentation that asks students to learn about Nixon’s policy of Vietnamization and the US withdrawal from the Vietnam War. The lesson includes video clips, reading, pairs research, cartoon analysis, and a quote analysis exercises with class discussions. The lesson concludes with a written task asking students to write a one page account evaluating the policy of Vietnamization. The reading is based on Sanders, Vivienne, The Cold War and the Americas 1945-1981, London: Hodder Education, 2015. Originally used with an IB Year 1 class.
