Identifying Triangles and Quadrilaterals and finding the unknown marked angles

Learning objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to

a. identify triangles and quadrilaterals;
b. find the unknown marked angles;
c. answer the assessment test correctly.

Overview:

The presentation , worksheet and assessment test are intended for upper primary. The presentation can be a useful tool for Math teachers presenting the topic or for reviewing the students about properties of triangles and quadrilaterals.

For Activity : Teachers can use all the information on the slides to use it as a question for a game called “Naming game” . In my class , we call the game battle of the brains. Usually I group the students in to 3 members per group. Feel free to give the rule of the game. But the main idea is to answer each question one at a time. Spare time for the students to think and solve.Then , whichever group got the most number of correct answers will be the winner.

For individual work, teacher can use the Worksheet to assess student’s mastery about the topic. Then mark it afterwards using the answer key provided.

Teacher can use the assessment test at the end of the lesson about Angles, Triangles and Quadrilaterals. Do not forget to ask your students to bring a ruler , pencil and a proctractor when you schedule this Summative Test. This assessment test comes with an answer key.
