Identity & Bias Workshop (DEI)

This is a workshop I planned and delivered as part of our school’s Global Citizenship curriculum focus. The workshop is aimed at middle school students aged 11-14. Keywords explored include:

• Personal Identity

• Social Identity

• Intersectionality

• Privilege

• Prejudice

• Bias

Case studies included are relevant to local contexts, so should be edited to demonstrate other examples of racial prejudices and biases.

The workshop lasts 60-80 minutes and involves group work, discussions and focuses around helping students understand their identities in a global and multicultural context.
