This resource comprises a powerpoint and accompanying worksheet showing how to convert top heavy ( improper ) fractions into mixed numbers. Diagrams and photographs of simple practical situations are used to show first how e.g. eight halves is the same as four whole units then nine halves is four wholes and a half.

Useful for all age groups that need a reminder or an introduction to this topic.
