Industrial Revolution - North and South Episode 1 (BBC)(2004) Questions

This is a great task for students to complete at the beginning of the Industrial Revolution unit or a great lesson for a casual/sub teacher. North and South is available (in Australia) on Clickview Online or, of course, DVD.

These questions are meant for Episode One and are the great basis of a discussion of factory and worker conditions, the differences between the classes, living conditions in an Industrial Town and the differences between industrial centres and rural life. The other three episodes also contribute to this, and this resource should obviously be used in conjunction with other resources for a well-rounded unit.
