This set of four-page activity worksheets explores the history and social aspects of International Women’s Day from a target-language perspective. It aims to equip students with the vocabulary and structures to talk about the day itself, as well as wider themes of social engagement.
Each worksheet comprises four short texts along with comprehension questions and glossaries of key words for each. A third page includes vocabulary exercises to consolidate new words, with a true/false quiz on the fourth page.
The language level is around A2 on the CEFR scale, designed to encourage gist-reading longer texts.
A page with answers to all the questions is supplied at the end of the worksheet.
