Introduction to Picture Books

This resource was created for a low ability Year 8 English class. It requires students to answer brief comprehension questions on four picture books. Each picture book and accompanying questions are of varying levels of difficulty to account for the range of abilities that appear in my class.

The four picture books in ascending order of difficulty required for this activity are:

Horton Hears a Who - Dr Suess
Small Things - Mel Tregonning!
The Watertower - Gary Crew
Old Ridley - Gary Crew, Marc McBride
