Introduction to Salem Witchcraze Y312 OCR

Salem Causes Lesson for OCR Unit Y312: Popular Culture and the Witchcraze. Can be used at the Salem unit either as stand alone lesson, or as a follow on from the Y13 intro lesson (see my profile for this).

1 x 2 hour lesson complete with resources including: worksheets, flipped learning (with answers), summary of the causes in the Salem witch-hunt, and recommended enrichment.

BONUS: Includes next lesson flipped learning homework on Salem witch-hunt (with answers).

I have used this introduction to Salem lesson successfully with my Year 13 class. I personally choose to teach the depth studies at the beginning of the course as I find it’s some of the most engaging and previously known material.

N.B.

• When there is a pencil emoji, the expectation is for students to write this down.
• The date should update automatically on the title page (if opening in PowerPoint, Google Slides doesn’t support the function).
