Objectives: Recognising gender of body parts, working out how to say what hurts
1-starter- body parts with one incorrect letter (challenge=books closed)
2-objectives, success criteria, learning habits (obviously adaptable to your school)
3-13-students show whether body part is masculine or feminine (MWBs/hands)
14- recap objectives etc
16- 'excuse' letter- there are 6 things wrong with Julien- 'Letter sections' attached- cut them up and put them around the room/corridor - students work out the J'ai mal rules for themselves -extension can be to translate other parts of the letter. Challenge question displayed.
17- shows J'ai mal rules
18- students show yes/no by thumbs up/down- are the sentences correct?
19- students choose an envelope (A-easier, B-challenge, 'Pics' attached)-label each image
20- recap objectives etc
21-plenary- add up the numbers of the correct sentences- give me the correct total and you can go!
22-29- extras-j'ai mal match up, plurals, new body parts, other illnesses, incorrect sentences, order lengths of time, reasons for illness using perfect tense
