This is part one of what will be a 6 part series of Robert Louis Stevenson's Doctor Jekyll and Mr Hyde. It is an animated movie adaptation of the book and as in most such cases it does not adhere strictly to the original work. I made it with the idea of using different media as a comparison to the Robert Louis Stevenson work.
The first video covers the beginning of the story where Utterson discovers Hyde late one night and later persuades him to pay compensation for his ill treatment of a young girl he had knocked over and stepped on.
The movie and comic book style script included her are a fun and engaging way of introducing students to this classic gothic horror story. The materials included would be ideal for bringing the story to younger learners or students of ESL
As well as the video, which is in m4v format, this product also includes;
1. Two comic book style versions of the movie script in PDF. One in colour which can be used for presentation purposes by the teacher or on students devices such as notebook computers or iPads. The other is BW for easier printing. Both comic books also include writing and question tasks at the end of the story.
2. A PDF worksheet for students to practice some of the vocabulary which may be new to them. This also includes a separate answer print.
3. A teacher explanation outlining the purpose and uses of the video and comic book and also containing the answers to the questions on the comic book.
Total number of pages for this product is 28 (PDF comics and worksheets)
