Children love a visual, and I used to use this all the time in class to help children learn how to keep themselves calm. It helps them on the path to self-regulation which is something children need to learn.

Keep calm in the classroom
Two resources to help you and your children keep calm in the classroom! Suitable for Ks1/Ks2. One is a visual aid for display in the classroom, the other a visual aid for teachers. When children start to feel dysregulated they often don't remember the tools they could use to help them feel calmer. The quicker they can locate these tools the better. Visual aid is dyslexia friendly font and colours with pictures to aid memory or instruction for those who struggle to read. I used things like these all the time as a classroom teacher and they are all tried and tested with good results. Note : chidren cannot self regulate well at these ages, they need to learn these skills over a long period of time. If you have a supportive classroom where you actively teach these skills from a young age, you're onto a winner
