King Charles III coronation printable activities KS1

May 2023 sees the coronation of King Charles III - an exciting part of British and Commonwealth history. Plan some fun activities to help your KS1 class celebrate this special occasion with this pack of coronation printables.

This King Charles coronation pack includes:

Make a crown
4 crown designs to either print landscape on A4 coloured card or on white card (for children to colour).

Make a Union Jack flag
There are several options for this:

• Colour the flag, cut it out, fold it in half, and glue.
• As above but with grey letters to indicate which colour children should use for each part.
• Full-colour version - 2 to a page
• Full-colour version - 4 to a page (mini flags).

If I were a king/queen writing activity
Children draw/colour a face on their king/queen picture (there are 9 designs). They can then use the lined page to respond to the prompt.

The British National Anthem lyrics
