An original poem written to describe the battle at the end of Macbeth. This is great to use as a text to read as an example when teaching my 'Macbeth Sonnet Writing Lesson Plan' available to download on my TES Shop.
The rhyming couplets are coloured at the end of each line to visually match the two rhyming words (couplet). Cut each line into strips and show the children how you can create the alternate rhyme pattern of 'a/b/a/b' with a couplet at the end you have a sonnet structure.
