RSE Relationships education Powerpoint lesson for KS3 or KS4 on an unhealthy relationship within a family setting, This could be a one off lesson or in a sequence. Based around a short story written specifically for this lesson called Elle’s Story, exploring the effects of potentially neglectful parental behaviour on a teenage girl. The story is not too deep so it should not be triggering for those with linked trauma.
It encourages students to consider their own morning routines and the impact of what happens on their own feelings. There is opportunity to discuss different students morning routines and for students to note similarities and differences.
Written as a literacy activity, this could be differentiated into role plays and teacher-read rather than individual/ class reading.
Could be used a just a presentation or you can print slide 7 as a handout.
