KS3 SOW - Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

A novel study unit of work made up of eighteen lessons. Some lessons are intended to be used across two separate periods of work. The unit includes worksheets, videos, homework tasks, comprehension, analysis and writing tasks. The purpose of this scheme of work is to study characters and themes while beginning to develop a basic level of analysis skills. The unit focuses on skills such as identifying implicit and explicit information, making inferences and understanding devices like foreshadowing and dramatic irony.
