Le Procès du Maréchal Pétain

Lesson about the trial of Pétain at the end of of WWII.
Students watch the video of the trial and take notes of what is said, who is present and mentioned. Students based on their learning and knowledge of the topic come up with the accusations against him and what his defense could be. Students go over and check of their answers were correct. Students then have to write their own final statement as the prosecutor to convince the judge why Pétain is guilty and what the verdict should be.
