Leo 2023 is a heartwarming and adventurous Netflix film about Leo, a tuatara, and Squirtle, a box turtle, who are longtime class pets in a Fort Myers elementary school. When Leo overhears that he might only have a year left to live, he despairs over unfulfilled dreams of visiting the Everglades. The plot unfolds as Leo, revealing his ability to talk, secretly helps and advises the students of the class, improving their lives significantly. However, jealousy and betrayal lead to dramatic twists, ultimately bringing the students and their substitute teacher together for a life-saving adventure in the Everglades.
