This is a PowerPoint presentation that is used to support the third context poster of the Forensics Project. This project is part of the JACOSA scheme. Please see my TES shop for additional resources.
During this lesson pupils carry out a test on the rat poison and spilt water that was found in Charles Hobbles’ laboratory. They learn about acids and alkalis and how to measure the pH of a substance.
The pupils have already been taught how to use the chemicals and measuring equipment in their kit. Please download lesson 2 resources from TES website. The purpose of this lesson is to introduce chemistry and simple experiments to a class of pupils who are new to working in a lab. There should be a particular focus on working safely and carefully.
All context posters for this project and a practical licence have been included in this bundle for free.
