Lesson 8 - Capital Punishment -Crime and Punishment GCSE AQA RS

This lesson teaches the topic of Capital Punishment. Pupils will be able to describe what ‘capital punishment’ is. They will be able to explain different religious attitudes to the death penalty as well as evaluate arguments for and against it.

This 50 minute lesson includes:

Research Task. Use of Text books will be needed for this. This lesson might need to be adapted if you don’t stock the Bartlett, Fleming, Smith, and Worden textbooks. Alternative information sheets have been provided at the end of the slides in case.
