A couple of lessons which explore the presentation of the witches in Macbeth. I used this with a high ability year 9 group, but would be fine for GCSE too. This is part of a scheme of work I have made on Power in Macbeth, but encouraged the students to begin thinking about different interpretations in order to make their analysis ‘critical’ and ‘perceptive.’ Some variation of tasks; I also got the students to perform their versions of Macbeth’s inner turmoil, which they enjoyed.
