A checklist for students - what to look for and annotate when analysing a poem.
Key areas – context and setting, subject/theme, mood and tone, character, literary devices and structure.
Although this is aimed at Year 10/11 classes (MYP 4/5), Year 8 and 9 (MYP 2/3) find it useful as well.
The checklist is easy to follow and the students find it very helpful when asked to annotate a poem.
