Macbeth GCSE SoW AQA

Attached is a completed SoW for Shakespeare’s Macbeth. You will find 17x PowerPoints (some Ppts contain content for more than 1 lesson), that track the entirety of Shakespeare’s play, helping students to build a strong understanding of the play, its context and how to answer AQA exam style questions, on themes and characters.

Each learning objective is linked to AQA’s assessment objectives, where necessary, with linked key words, and a set of ‘steps to success’ to show students exactly how the lesson will support them in meeting the learning objective.

Each PowerPoint contains a range of activities, and where necessary, they each include: a starter activity, a skills developement task, a modelling task, an independent study task and a plenary task.

Many of the PowerPoints also include recall starters, that focus on helping students recall key information about Macbeth and their other Literature texts e.g. A Christmas Carol or An Inspector Calls.
