Magistrates

This pack includes:

• Two PowerPoints - one for the teacher and another than can be printed and used as a work book for students. This will describe how magistrates are selected, appointed and trained; explain the role of the Magistrates in the criminal court system and explain the role of the Legal Advisor in the criminal court system. There is also tasks which require students to evaluate the current operation of the Magistrates system so that they are prepared for essay questions on this topic.

• One quiz which can be used to assess the class understanding of what was discussed.

• One game which encourages discussion about the qualifications needed and the factors which may exclude or disqualify someone.
