The students will make this flower to celebrate the great Martin Luther King Jr. The multiracial hands grow out as a flower from the stem growing from the earth showing that all of us can unite as one in peace just as a flower grows when watered with kindness and love. It represents unity among all humans. A learning objective, subject summary and application in real life, materials needed for each student and the step by step directions needed to create this lesson are all detailed in each of my lesson plans.
