Maths Gas Meter Reading Calculations

An activity (updated 1st March after a run through with a year 10 class) which will enable the class teacher to briefly explain how to read a gas meter and in basic terms show students how the bill is calculated. A powerpoint will help you walk though it and there is a work sheet to accompany it. Hope it proves useful! Took about an hour to work through, and I set a homework for the students to go away and discuss with their parents how they pay for their gas and electricity and get the parents to explain the bills - students to present back!
