A sequence of 7 pictures showing objects/animals etc that pupils have to estimate length, weight or capacity of. It is intended to support learning how to use appropriate metric units for things based on size etc. The final slide is the answers. This is intended as a starter/plenary/ bit of fun time filler etc. Could be adapted to use with show me boards.
I usually give 1/2 a point to pupils who have used the most appropriate metric unit even if the guess is hugely outside the accepted range in the
answers.
