This lesson is designed to last for 1 hour and is resourced with videos, extension questioning, deep thinking and uses graphs/images to aid learning.
This lesson follows the Cambridge KS4 curriculum and looks at how we can actually estimate populations of species and biodiversity. Students will look at how pitfall traps, transects and quadrants can be used to measure biodiversity and will have an example to complete in class. This is also a good opportunity if you are able to do so to go out and get students practising these skills.
This lesson includes a starter, lesson objective, plenary, exam question and various student led activities.
