This Power Point and sentence builder experiments with Dr Conti’s methodology (read https://gianfrancoconti.wordpress.com/2018/03/16/my-favourite-read-aloud-task-and-how-i-use-them/ ). The sentence builder has as a starting point Kapitel 2 of the Stimmt AQA textbook about free time, but it extends pupils’ knowledge of opinions teaching them a variety of opinions sentence starters and verb scarers (Ich hoere gern/ lieber/ am liebsten, Klassische Musik gefaellt mir, Ich schwaerme fuer, die Pizza hat gut geschmeckt, Ich denke, dass …). Through recycling of chunks across several activities such as delayed copying, read the text and fill in the boxes with the words missing, mosaic writing, oral communicative drills etc…). At the end a few slides where pupils spontaneously discuss opinions about popular German music videos.
