Metamorphosis - Franz Kafka - Five week Unit of work

A unit of work exploring the context, style, allegorical interpretations and character-work of Kafka’s famous absurdist novella.

This five-week set of lessons includes nurmerous scaffolding worksheets and a variety of carefully thought-out tasks to ensure that the sometimes-confounding text can be understood and accessed by readers of all abilities. Higher and lower ability lessons are in place for some lessons.

Pupils are also given the chance to not just analyse Kafka’s work but pursue its goals creatively, with a number of longer written tasks allowing students to embrace their inner absurdist!
