Money - Functional Skills Maths - Entry Level 3

This resource has been designed for students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Entry Level 3 (Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds and Open Awards). It contains an age-appropriate, 175-slide PowerPoint lesson and a 62-page workbook on money.

PowerPoint Lesson

The PowerPoint explains how to convert between pounds and pence; how to round money to nearest 10p and £1; how to round money to 2 decimal places; how to add, subtract, multiply and divide money. It provides many opportunities for students to practise these skills and to use them to solve real-life money problems. It also contains links to several videos on money and example exam questions. The PowerPoint is ideal for introducing the money component of the specification and for revision purposes.

Workbook

The 62-page workbook contains twenty-six information/explanation pages, thirty-three worksheets (with answers), two progress checks, and a certificate of achievement. It is available in PDF format and an editable PowerPoint version to enable personalisation of the resource. The workbook can be used for classwork, homework, revision or as an independent learning pack.
