MYP1 Visual Art: Egyptian Poly-block printing

An MYP Visual Art unit presentation with research tasks and instructions for criteria A, design ideas for criteria B, printmaking instructions for criteria C and some reflection tasks for criteria D. In this unit grade 6 students researched Egyptian Art, came up with ideas for an Egyptian style block print, carved a polystyrene block to create the printing plate and then created a series of multiple layered prints (for criteria C)
I suggest using thin polystyrene blocks with grade 6, however the unit can be adapted for grade 7 and lino blocks can be used for prints which are more refined and detailed.
