Narrative Writing - Horror/Ghost Genre - Unit of Work

This is a unit of work covering approximately 10 lessons. Students will develop story writing skills and then create their own creepy story - ideal to start at Halloween and run up to Christmas! Topics covered: Different genres; purpose and audience; conventions of horror/ghost stories; effective openings; narrative formats; setting; character; organising a plot; paragraphing and dialogue and descriptive writing techniques.
