The lesson includes a code breaker settler activity, followed by a hook on evolution about mobile phones.
Pupils write a definition and discuss the evidence for evolution followed by a progress check.
Main body of the lesson includes a video clip introducing the theory of natural selection, accompanied by a worksheet that pupils fill in on the main stages.
Teacher can then AfL pupils on their responses, as well as talk through the natural selection case study of the peppered moth.
Pupils complete a storyboard on natural selection using the stages outlined in their video worksheet.
Plenary task to summarize.
