Numbers and the Number System - PowerPoint Lesson and Workbook -Entry 3 Functional Skills

This resource has been designed for students working towards Functional Skills Maths qualifications at Entry Level 3. It contains an age-appropriate, editable, 140-slide PowerPoint lesson and a 60-page workbook on Outcomes 1, 5 and 6: Using numbers and the number system.

The resources will help pupils to achieve these outcomes:

count, read, write, order and compare numbers up to 1000
approximate by rounding numbers less than 1000 to the nearest 10 or 100 and

It explains rounding to 10 and 100 and why we round numbers. It shows how rounding and estimation can be used to check calculations with everyday life examples. It also helps pupils to recognise and continue linear sequences of numbers to 100.
