Of Mice and Men Full SOW

A full 23 lesson scheme of work with PowerPoint, MTP, Learning Tracker booklet and assessment sheets for my Year 9 mixed ability class, building towards the skills needed for AQA GCSE Literature Assessment Objectives (AO1, AO2, AO3, AO4, AO5). Opportunities for revision and practising exam questions. Leads to an end of unit assessment which mimics the closed book exams for Literature. Lesson to also think about the structure of the novel, and thinking about Steinbeck’s intentions of creating a cross between a novel and a play. Also, practice for Language paper for AQA - writing a speech, using ideas from the novel. This scheme worked really well when I taught it and my team enjoyed it too! Hope it helps.
