One Term KS2 Core Subject Planning and Resources (English and Maths)

Maths:
One week planning and resources on ‘scales’ (learning objectives include: reading scales, comparing scales and word problems involving scales).

One week planning and resources on ‘decimals’ (learning objectives include rounding decimals, ordering decimals, word problems, arithmetic problems and a ‘big maths’ activity involving time).

Two weeks planning on resources on ‘fractions, decimals and percentages’ (learning objectives include: adding fractions, multiplying fractions, converting FDP, FDP word problems and finding the FDP of an amount.).

Two weeks planning on ‘mixed operation word problems’ (learning objectives include: one step problems, two step problems, discrete operation word problems and mixed operation word problems. Theme of the unit is money/buying toys and resources for school).

One week planning on ‘multiplication and division’ (learning objectives include: column multiplication, bus-stop division and word problems).
